This position supports one of the Co-Founders of a prestigious hedge fund and his family as a Project/Estate Manager, reporting to the head of Member Services. The position would require most of the work to be done on-site at the family’s homes (currently Manhattan and the Hampton's) with a typical work week being 1 day per week in the office, though this may vary. The person in this role must have a very hands-on approach to overseeing the household and its staff as well as overseeing projects.
Responsibilities: Working closely with the Principal’s family, Principal’s Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant(s) and household staff as it relates to projects at any of the homes, Assisting with sourcing, hiring, training and evaluating all household staff, Responsible for managing the Household Manager and the Hampton Property Manager, Overseeing projects, including: researching, creating scope of work, determining timeline, creating budgets as well as sourcing, evaluating, managing and scheduling vendors , Projects may include, but are not limited to, property maintenance, home purchases, home construction and design, and landscaping, Responsible for all aspects of vendor management from reviewing invoices; negotiating vendor contracts; evaluating vendors; implementing a vendor management system, Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Principal’s boat, from maintaining to hiring and managing captains to scheduling the transport, Communicating and/or meeting on a weekly basis with the Principal.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager/Estate Manager, including experience in the project types listed above, Experience with the following a plus: wine purchases, art purchases, boat ownership/management, experience with smart home systems.
